The race starts on East Ridge Road, just above the The Boys and Girls Club of Ridgefield, with a few gradual climbs to keep you honest. It then settles into a nice rolling course that winds through southern Ridgefield for two loops that showcase some of the flattest miles in the town. With a fast downhill into downtown Ridgefield and back to the Boys and Girls Club, you're sure to finish strong and smiling!

You get:

  • Classic Connecticut scenic course

  • Race support including water and Gatorade at aid stations

  • Music and cheer zones along the course

  • "Race Central" with gathering areas for runners and spectators

  • Beer and sliders courtesy of Little Pub to all finishers (beer 21+)

Parking on Race Day

There are several public parking lots all within a 1/2 mile of the start and the finish of the course:

  • Yanity Gym/Ridgefield Playhouse

  • East Ridge Middle School

  • Veteran's Park School

  • Governor Street across from Veteran's Park

  • Bailey Avenue Lot

There will be no race day parking at the Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club, or the town's lower Governor Street Lot and the RVNA. Governor Street will be closed from the RVNA to East Ridge Road, please plan accordingly. Runners can get dropped off at the top of Governor Street (near Bissell Pharmancy) and walk down to Race Central.

  • Are strollers and dogs allowed on the race? Sorry the course does not permit strollers or dogs for safety reasons.

  • Can someone else use my entry? NO!  For safety reasons, we need to know exactly who is on the course. If a runner needs medical attention we use the info from the race bib to make emergency contacts. Plus, wearing another's bib can interfere with the race results. Please do not "give" your bib to others.

  • My friend/spouse/child is not registered. Can he/she just run with me? NO. This is called "banditing" and is essentially using race resources without paying for them. It's also a safety issue, and even if that person doesn't take the medal or use the potties, they are still using resources they haven't paid for.  Please don't bandit races, it's just not cool.

  • I can't make it to Package Pick Up, can a friend pick up for me?  YES, if you trust them, so do we.

  • Does the race happen rain or shine?  You bet!  Unless there is a natural disaster that prevents a safe race course, there will be a race!

  • I can't race, can I get a refund? Sorry, no refunds or transfers. You can defer your entry to the 2019 race for a $10 fee. Last day to defer is September 20, 2018. Log into your account at the race registration site to make a deferral. If you deferred the 2017 race and would like to claim your deferral to register for this year, please contact the race director at
